The Condom Codex

The name on the box is rarely the name on the factory.

CondomPoint documents every condom brand, the company that owns it, the factory that actually makes it, the material it is made from, and the standard it is tested against. Every claim traced to a named source. Nothing sold here.

What is here

Eleven codices, one subject

Condoms only. No pleasure products, no erotica, no shop. Each codex links into the others, so a brand connects to its factory, its country, its material, and the standard that governs it.

How we source

A claim without a source is not published

Sources are ranked in tiers. Where sources disagree — market size figures routinely do — we publish the range and name every firm, rather than quietly picking one.

Tier 1 — primary authority

ISO 4074 and ISO/TC 157 standards. The WHO/UNFPA male latex condom specification and its prequalified manufacturer registry. FDA 21 CFR 884.5300. EU MDR 2017/745. National regulators including CDSCO, BIS, MHRA, TGA, PMDA, NMPA and ANVISA. Company filings and annual reports. Peer-reviewed journals including Contraception, BMJ Sexual & Reproductive Health and Cochrane reviews.

Tier 2 — acceptable with a note

Established business press. University press books. National health service consumer guidance. Market research firms — always named, dated, and never presented as settled fact.

Never cited

Retailer listicles and any site whose business is selling the products described. Unattributed statistics. Brand marketing claims presented as fact. Forums and social posts.

This codex is incomplete, and says so

Of roughly 126 planned pages, this foundation is the first. Every section above carries a visible status. We will never present partial coverage as complete — a page that does not exist yet is marked pending, not hidden.

What this is not

A reference, not a recommendation

Read this before using anything on this site

CondomPoint documents what named sources record. It does not recommend any brand or product, does not guarantee the effectiveness of any product, and is not medical advice. Condoms are a regulated medical device in most countries. For anything concerning your own health, contraception, or risk of sexually transmitted infection, consult a qualified registered medical professional. This site accepts no responsibility for any action taken based on content read here.

This site is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
